PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defroster capable of efficiently eliminating fogging of a windshield in a wide range.SOLUTION: A defroster includes: a defrost duct 2 extended along the vehicle width direction and having an internal space; an inflow port to flow air into the internal space 20; an air outlet 5 extended along the vehicle width direction, and opened to the defrost duct 2 to blow air from the internal space 20 to a windshield 8; and a cross rib 6 protruded to the middle of the internal space 20 from an air outlet 5 circumference to the internal space 20, and extended in the vehicle width direction. The cross rib 6 is protruded from the closest part to the inflow port of the defrost duct 2 in the air outlet 5 circumference. The cross rib 6 divides the defrost duct 2 into a main passage 21 where the inflow port is opened, and an air blowout passage 22 where the air outlet 5 is opened. 【課題】 フロントガラスの曇りを広範囲にわたって効率よく除去することができるデフロスタを提供する。【解決手段】 デフロスタは、車幅方向に沿って延設され且つ内部空間をもつデフダクト２と、内部空間２０に空気を流入させる流入口と、車幅方向に沿って延びデフダクト２に開口して内部空間２０からフロントガラス８に向けて空気を吹き出す吹出口５と、吹出口５周縁から内部空間２０に向けて内部空間２０の途中まで突設されて車幅方向に延びる横リブ６と、を有する。横リブ６は、吹出口５の周縁におけるデフダクト２の流入口に最も近い部分から突設されている。横リブ６は、デフダクト２を、流入口が開口する主通路２１と、吹出口５が開口する空気吹出通路２２とに区画している。【選択図】 図４
