Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save charge time and power by eliminating electric energy which remains unused, in a plurality of battery packs used in a state of being connected in series.SOLUTION: A charger capable of charging a plurality of battery packs A, B used in a state of being electrically connected in series in a lump or pack by pack, is configured so as to be capable of: storing effective charge capacity MA, MB with which each battery pack A, B can be charged; setting specified charge capacity Cmax which is capacity equal to or smaller than the smallest effective charge capacity MA, MB of the effective charge capacity MA, MB of respective battery packs A, B; and stopping charging when charge capacity of each battery pack A, B reaches the specified charge capacity Cmax. 【課題】本発明は、直列に接続された状態で使用される複数のバッテリパックにおいて、使用されず残る電力量をなくして、充電時間、及び電力の無駄を省けるようにする。【解決手段】本発明に係る充電器は、電気的に直列に接続された状態で使用される複数のバッテリパックA,Bをまとめて、あるいは一台毎に充電できる充電器であって、それぞれのバッテリパックA,Bが充電できる有効充電容量MA,MBを記憶し、各々のバッテリパックA,Bにおける有効充電容量MA,MBのうちで最も小さい有効充電容量MA,MB以下の容量の規定充電容量Cmaxを設定し、各々のバッテリパックA,Bの充電容量が規定充電容量Cmaxまで達したら充電を停止できるように構成されている。【選択図】図5
