CONNECTOR AND WIRE HARNESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain airtightness by preventing a terminal housing from being deformed by thermal expansion of a seal member.SOLUTION: A connector comprises: a terminal housing into which end portions of a plurality of cables are inserted; a seal member which is accommodated within an accommodation part formed in an end portion of the terminal housing at a cable insertion side and air-tightly seals a gap between the accommodation part and the cables in contact with an inner circumference of the accommodation part and an outer circumference of the cables; a tail plate which includes a lock piece to be locked to the outer circumference of the accommodation part, closes an opening of the accommodation part by locking the lock piece to the outer circumference of the accommodation part and prevents falling of the seal member from the accommodation part; and an enclosure which is provided so as to enclose the outer circumference of the accommodation part to which the lock piece is locked. The outer circumference of the accommodation part is brought into contact with one surface of the lock piece opposing to the outer circumference, and another surface of the lock piece is brought into contact with an inner circumference of the enclosure opposing to the other surface. 【課題】 シール部材の熱膨張に起因するターミナルハウジングの変形を防止し、気密性を維持する。【解決手段】 複数のケーブルの端部が挿入されるターミナルハウジングと、ターミナルハウジングのケーブル挿入側の端部に形成された収容部内に収容され、収容部の内周とケーブルの外周とにそれぞれ接触することで、収容部とケーブルとの間を気密に封止するシール部材と、収容部の外周に係止する係止片を有し、係止片が収容部の外周に係止することで収容部の開口を塞ぎ、収容部からのシール部材の脱落を防止するテールプレートと、係止片が係止した収容部の外周を囲うように設けられる囲い体と、を備え、収容部の外周とこれに対向する係止片の一面とが接触し、かつ、係止片の他面とこれに対向する囲い体の内周とが接触するように構成されている。【選択図】図１
