PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Web page creation device which, even when a structure of component elements is made variable and the element structure is changed, actuates the components correctly.SOLUTION: Provided is a Web page creation device comprising: an instruction acceptance unit for entering, with regard to components constituting a document, the type of a component and the position of elements constituting the component; an element-role correspondence table storage unit for keeping, for each component, an element-role correspondence table stored therein, the table specifying, with regard to all roles needed for the component, an element assuming each role and having the position of the element assuming each role described therein; a role recording unit for searching for an element constituting the component by referring to the element-role correspondence table and correlating a role to each element; and an element processing unit for altering the attribute or content of an element, among elements constituting the component, which is correlated with a prescribed role, or adding or deleting a child element to or from the element. 【課題】部品の要素の構造を可変にして、要素の構造を変更しても部品を正しく動作させるWeb ページ作成装置を提供する。【解決手段】文書を構成する部品について、部品の種類と、部品を構成する要素の位置を入力する指示受付部と、部品が必要とする全ての役割について各役割を担う要素を特定するものであって、各役割を持つ要素の位置を記した要素役割対応表を、部品毎に記憶しておく要素役割対応表記憶部と、要素役割対応表を参照して、部品を構成する要素を検索し、各要素に役割を対応付ける役割記録部と、部品を構成する要素のうち、所定の役割を対応付けられた要素に対して、属性や内容を変更し、あるいは子要素を追加または削除する処理を行う要素処理部とを、備えるWebページ作成装置。【選択図】図２
