TONER AND TONER PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which exhibits an excellent fixation property even for a high processing speed fixation process, generates no blister even in solid image output on smooth paper, and suppresses member contamination within a development unit even when used over a long period or after long period storage.SOLUTION: The toner has toner particles obtained by adding a polymerizable monomer composition containing a polymerizable monomer, a microcrystalline wax, an ester wax and colorant in an aqueous medium, forming particles of the polymerizable monomer composition in the aqueous medium, and polymerizing the polymerizable monomer contained in the particles of the polymerizable monomer composition. The toner contains 5.0% or less by mass of tetrahydrofuran insoluble derived from a resin component, the weight-average molecular weight of absolute molecular weights of the toner acquired by a specific analysis is within a specific range, the absolute molecular weights acquired by the specific analysis and viscosity have a specific relation ship, and the ester wax has 1 to 4 functional groups. 【課題】プロセススピードの速い定着プロセスに対しても、良好な定着特性を示し、平滑紙へのベタ画像出力においてもブリスターの発生が無く、かつ長期間・長期保管後の使用においても現像装置内の部材汚染を抑制できるトナーを提供する。【解決手段】重合性単量体、マイクロクリスタリンワックス、エステルワックスおよび着色剤を含有する重合性単量体組成物を水系媒体に加え、該水系媒体中で該重合性単量体組成物の粒子を形成し、該重合性単量体組成物の該粒子に含まれる該重合性単量体を重合させて得られるトナー粒子を有するトナーにおいて、該トナーが、樹脂成分由来のテトラヒドロフラン不溶分を５．０質量％以下含有し、該トナーの特定の分析により得られる絶対分子量の重量平均分子量が特定範囲のもので、該特定の分析により得られる絶対分子量と粘度が特定の関係を有し、該エステルワックスが、１官能以上４官能以下であることを特徴とする。【選択図】なし
