Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine system, in which the combustion mode of an engine 1 can be freely switched into a stoichiometric combustion mode and a lean combustion mode in accordance with an engine load, so that the combustion mode can be freely switched into a proper state in a performance aspect such as efficiency or emission, or in a lifetime aspect.SOLUTION: Control means 20 executes a stoichiometric combustion suppression operation for suppressing a switching into the stoichiometric combustion mode, of the combustion mode of an engine 1 for a preset stoichiometric combustion suppression period. 【課題】エンジン負荷に応じてストイキ燃焼モードとリーン燃焼モードとにエンジン1の燃焼モードを切替自在に構成されたエンジンシステムにおいて、効率やエミッションなどの性能面や寿命面において適切な状態で燃焼モードの切り替えを行うことができる技術を提供する。【解決手段】制御手段20が、予め設定されたストイキ燃焼抑制期間において、エンジン1の燃焼モードのストイキ燃焼モードへの切り替えを抑制するストイキ燃焼抑制処理を実行する。【選択図】図1
