Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording ink having excellent intermittent discharge characteristics (one-by-one dischargeability) and a recording method of inkjet mode.SOLUTION: The provided inkjet recording ink includes a coloring material, ink evaporation inhibitors, and water. A hardly water-soluble compound and an easily water-soluble compound are included as the evaporation inhibitors; the hardly water-soluble compound is a compound exhibiting, in relation to water, a saturated solubility (20°C) of 1.0 (g/100 g) or above and 3.0 (g/100 g) or below, and the easily water-soluble compound is a compound exhibiting, in relation to water, a saturated solubility (20°C) of 20.0 (g/100 g) or above and a hydrophilicity-hydrophobicity coefficient of 0.37 or below; the hardly water-soluble compound is included within 100 g of the recording ink at a content commensurate with at least 0.7 equivalent and no more than 1.0 equivalent of the saturated solubility (20°C) in relation to water, and the content a (mass%) of the easily water-soluble compound and the content b (mass%) of the hardly water-soluble compound satisfy a relation of 1.0≤a/b≤6.0. 【課題】間欠吐出特性(発一性)に優れるインクジェット用の記録インクおよびインクジェット方式の記録方法を提供する。【解決手段】色材、インクの蒸発防止剤および水を含有するインクジェット用の記録インクである。蒸発防止剤として、難水溶性化合物と、易水溶性化合物と、を含有し、難水溶性化合物は、水に対する飽和溶解量(20℃)が1.0(g/100g)以上、3.0(g/100g)以下の化合物であり、易水溶性化合物は、水に対する飽和溶解量(20℃)が20.0(g/100g)以上で、かつ、親疎水度係数が0.37以下の化合物であり、難水溶性化合物は、前記記録インク100g中に、水に対する飽和溶解量(20℃)の0.7倍以上、1.0倍以下の量が含有され、前記易水溶性化合物の含有率a(質量%)と、前記難水溶性化合物の含有率b(質量%)とが、1.0 a/b 6.0の関係を満たすことを特徴とする。【選択図】なし
