PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle plate of a sewing machine which allows cloth to be smoothly fed even when the cloth has been subjected to non-slip treatment or the like, and which facilitates cloth operation; and to provide a sewing machine including the needle plate.SOLUTION: A needle plate of a sewing machine includes: a needle hole through which a sewing needle passes; and a long hole for a feed dog through which the feed dog protrudes and retracts. Cloth is held between the needle plate and a presser foot. On the surface of the needle plate, minute irregularities are formed. The minute irregularities are non-continuous protrusion parts evenly arranged or continuous ridges parallel to a cloth feeding direction. 【課題】 滑り止めなどの処理をした布に対しても布送りがスムーズで、布操作が容易なミシンの針板および該針板を備えたミシンを提供すること。【解決手段】 ミシン針が貫通する針穴と送り歯が出没する送り歯用長穴とを備え、押え金との間で布を狭持するミシンの針板において、前記針板の表面に微小の凸凹を形成することを特徴とし、前記微小の凸凹は、均等に配列された非連続性の突起部であること、または、布送り方向と平行する連続性の凸条であることを特徴とする。【選択図】 図６
