Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a jolt of a vehicle body when an engine and a first motor are in operation simultaneously.SOLUTION: A transaxle 1 for a vehicle includes: an engine shaft 11 connected to an engine 2 mounted on a vehicle; an output shaft 14 disposed parallel to the engine shaft 11, for transmitting motive power to a drive shaft 4 of the vehicle through a differential 16; a motor shaft 12 disposed parallel to the output shaft 14 and connected to an electric motor 3 mounted on the vehicle; a first gear set 28 for transmitting motive power between the engine shaft 11 and the output shaft 14; and a second gear set 29 for transmitting motive power between the motor shaft 12 and the output shaft 14. The first gear set 28 is composed of two gears 22, 27 of which the number of meshing teeth is one, and the second gear set 29 is composed of three gears 26, 22, 27 of which the number of meshing teeth is two.
