LEG DEVICE AND TABLE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leg device which is constituted by using metal rod bodies whose cross section outer shapes are polygonal, high in lateral rigidity to leg columns though a cross section is small, and can exhibit a quite novel sharp feeling in terms of design, and a table using the same.SOLUTION: A leg device 1 is constituted of a pair of leg columns 6 which are composed of metal rod bodies whose cross section outer shapes are polygonal, and lateral rods 7 which connect lower ends of the leg columns, and are composed of metal rod bodies whose cross section outer shapes are polygonal. Any face of the leg columns and the leg rods is set so as to be not parallel with a vertical face and a horizontal face including center lines of the leg columns and the lateral rods. The leg columns and the lateral rods are formed of square pipes whose cross section outer shapes are rectangular, and lower ends of the leg columns and ends of the lateral rods are connected to each other at right angles by corner joints. In a table, a pair of the leg devices are arranged at left and right, upper ends of the left and right leg columns which are paired at fore-and-aft sides are connected to each other by a support member 9, thus a leg frame 2 is formed, and a ceiling plate 3 is placed on an upper face of the support member of the leg frame, and fixed thereto. 【課題】断面外形状が多角形の金属杆体を用いて構成し、断面が小さくても脚柱に対する横方向強度が高く、また意匠的にも全く新しいシャープ感を醸し出すことが可能な脚装置及びそれを用いたテーブルを提供する。【解決手段】脚装置１は、断面外形状が多角形の金属杆体からなる一対の垂直な脚柱６と、脚柱の下端間を連結する断面外形状が多角形の金属杆体からなる横杆７とよりなり、脚柱及び横杆の何れの面も脚柱及び横杆の中心線を含む垂直面と水平面とに対して平行にならないように設定した。脚柱と横杆は断面外形状が長方形の角パイプで形成し、脚柱の下端と横杆の端部をコーナー継手で直角に連結した。テーブルは、脚装置を左右に一対配置し、前後側でそれぞれ対となった左右の脚柱の上端間を支持部材９で連結して脚フレーム２を形成し、脚フレームの支持部材の上面に天板３を載置して固定した。【選択図】 図２
