Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag making machine and a bag making method which can correct positions of sealing parts and cooling parts by moving the sealing parts and cooling parts through a simple configuration and a simple control method and are easily applicable to existing bag making machines provided with no tensile force application parts in the upstream or the downstream of individual processing parts.SOLUTION: A bag making machine includes a pair of tensile force application parts which are provided each in the upstream and downstream of individual processing parts in the carrying direction of a film W and apply a tensile force to the film W carried by a carrying part and a control part 60 which controls the tensile force application parts to adjust the magnitude of the tensile force to be applied to the film by at least one of the tensile force application part on the basis of the detection information of a detection mark obtained by a mark detection part, more specifically a mark sensor 72, provided between the tensile force application parts in the carrying direction of the film W. 【課題】シンプルな構成や制御方法により、シール部や冷却部を移動させて、これらのシール部や冷却部の位置を修正することができ、また、各処理部の上流側や下流側に張力付与部が設けられていないような、既設の製袋機に対しても容易に適用できる製袋機および製袋方法を提供する。【解決手段】製袋機は、フィルムWの搬送方向における各処理部の上流側、および下流側にそれぞれ設けられ、搬送部により搬送されるフィルムWに張力を与える一対の張力付与部と、フィルムWの搬送方向における一対の張力付与部の間に設けられたマーク検出部(具体的には、マークセンサ72)による検出マークの検出情報に基づいて、一対の張力付与部のうち少なくとも何れかの張力付与部により、フィルムに与えられる張力の大きさを調整するよう当該張力付与部の制御を行う制御部60と、を備えている。【選択図】図1
