PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved device and method for extracorporeal removal of harmful substances from blood or blood components, for example, provide a device for removal of harmful substances from mammalian blood or blood components for use in conventional extracorporeal circulation systems for e.g. hemodialysis or oxygenation.SOLUTION: The device brings the full length heparin immobilized on a solid substrate by covalent end point attachment into contact with a sample, under conditions allowing for binding of harmful substances to the heparin, and arranges an inlet and outlet of a column such that blood entering through the inlet is brought into contact with the solid substrate before it exits the column through the outlet. 【課題】血液又は血液成分から有害物質を体外除去するための改善された装置、及び方法を提供する。例えば、血液透析又は酸素投与用の従来の体外循環システムに使用し、哺乳類の血液又は血液成分から、有害物質を除去するための装置を提供する。【解決手段】装置は、共有末端結合で固体基材上に固定化された全長ヘパリンを、ヘパリンへの有害物質の結合を可能にする条件下で接触させ、カラムの入口から入る血液が、出口から出る前に、上記固体基材と接触するように配置する。【選択図】なし
