PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten an operation needed for a portion of a new Web page which a user wants to read to be displayed in a desired size when transitioned to the Web page.SOLUTION: A computer device 1 comprises, as functional units associated mainly with data input/output: a display unit 11 for displaying a character, a diagram, or an image, etc., in accordance with a control signal; an operation detection unit 12 detecting a contact operation by a user; an operation determination unit 13 for determining the type of the contact operation by the user; and a display control unit 14 for controlling display by the display unit 11. The computer device 1 comprises, as functional units associated mainly with data processing: a display history storage unit 15 for storing a movement history of an area being displayed; a browsed area identification unit 16 for identifying an area including a document assumed to have been actually browsed and read by the user; an actual display area determination unit 17 for determining whether or not to take over settings of the area being displayed from a page at the movement source; and an actual display area decision unit 18 for deciding the position and magnification of the area being displayed. 【課題】新たなＷｅｂページに遷移した際に、ユーザが読みたい部分を望ましい大きさにして画面上に表示させるための操作を軽減する。【解決手段】コンピュータ装置１は、主にデータの入出力に関わる機能部として、制御信号に従って文字、図形または画像等を表示する表示部１１と、ユーザによる接触動作を検知する操作検知部１２と、ユーザによる接触動作の種類を判別する操作判別部１３と、表示部１１における表示を制御する表示制御部１４とを備え、主にデータの処理に関わる機能部として、表示されている領域の移動履歴を記憶する表示履歴記憶部１５と、実際にユーザが閲覧して読んだと想定される文書が含まれる領域を特定する閲覧領域特定部１６と、表示されている領域の設定を移動元のページから引き継ぐか否かを判定する実表示領域判定部１７と、表示されている領域の位置および拡大率を決定する実表示領域決定部１８とを備えている。【選択図】図１
