Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable engine that can readily extract fuel stored in a fuel tank to the outside.SOLUTION: The portable engine includes: an internal combustion engine for outputting power by combusting fuel; a fuel tank 13 for storing the fuel; and a fuel pump 17 for supplying the fuel to the internal combustion engine from the fuel tank. In the portable engine, a U-shaped fuel pipe 18 for supplying the fuel is provided between the fuel tank and the fuel pump and a fuel drain device 20 operable to discharge the fuel inside the fuel pipe to the outside is disposed in the lowest part of a fuel passage of the fuel pipe. 【課題】燃料タンク内の燃料を容易に外部へ抜き取ることができる携帯型エンジンを提供する。【解決手段】燃料を燃焼させて動力を出力する内燃機関と、燃料を貯留する燃料タンク１３と、燃料タンクから内燃機関へ燃料を送る燃料ポンプ１７とを備えた携帯型エンジンにおいて、燃料タンクと燃料ポンプとの間に、燃料を送るＵ字状の燃料パイプ１８を設け、該燃料パイプの燃料通路の最も低い部位に、燃料パイプ内の燃料を外部へ排出可能な燃料ドレイン装置２０を配設するようにした。【選択図】図２
