Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording device in which information can be recorded or reproduced with a more simple configuration by using holographic recording or polarized holographic recording.SOLUTION: An irradiation light generating system 3 generates signal light having a polarized component in which information is recorded by spatial modulation on at least one of a phase and an amplitude, as +1-order diffracted light or -1-order diffracted light, as well as generates reference light as 0-order light corresponding to the above +1-order diffracted light or the -1-order diffracted light. An irradiation system 4 irradiates a recording medium 2 having photosensitivity with the signal light and the reference light to record the information as a three-dimensional optical anisotropy distribution to the recording medium 2. 【課題】ホログラフィック記録又は偏光ホログラフィック記録を利用して、より簡易な構成で情報を記録又は再生することが可能な光情報記録装置を提供する。【解決手段】照射光生成系3は、位相及び振幅の少なくとも一方の空間変調によって情報が記録された偏光成分を有する信号光を+1次回折光又は−1次回折光として生成する一方、参照光を前記+1次回折光及び前記−1次回折光に対応する0次光として生成する。照射系4は、感光性を有する記録媒体2に前記信号光及び前記参照光を照射することによって前記情報を3次元光学異方性分布として前記記録媒体2に記録する。【選択図】図1
