PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording device in which information can be recorded or reproduced with a more simple configuration by using holographic recording or polarized holographic recording.SOLUTION: An irradiation light generating system 3 generates signal light having a polarized component in which information is recorded by spatial modulation on at least one of a phase and an amplitude, as +1-order diffracted light or -1-order diffracted light, as well as generates reference light as 0-order light corresponding to the above +1-order diffracted light or the -1-order diffracted light.
