Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can suppress a temperature increase inside the apparatus in association with the adoption of means for improving developing characteristics of developer.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus determines whether or not a temperature inside the image forming apparatus is equal to or higher than a reference temperature with an internal environment sensor (ST101), determines, when determining that the inside of the apparatus is a high-temperature environment at the reference temperature or higher, whether or not the apparatus is operated in continuous printing operation (ST102), determines, when determining that the apparatus is operated in the continuous printing operation, whether or not a humidity inside the image forming apparatus is equal to or higher than a reference humidity (ST104), and decreases, when determining that the inside of the apparatus is a high-humidity environment at the reference humidity or higher, a peak-to-peak voltage Vpp of AC bias, and decreases, when determining that the inside of the apparatus is not a high-humidity environment at the reference humidity or higher, a frequency f of the AC bias (ST106) to improve developing characteristics of developer while suppressing heat generation of a developing bias power source.
【課題】現像剤の現像特性を改善する手段の採用に伴い装置内の温度が上昇するのを抑制することが可能な画像形成装置を提供する。【解決手段】内部環境センサによって画像形成装置内部の温度が基準温度以上か否かを判定しST101、基準温度以上の高温環境であると判定した場合は、連続プリントか否かを判定するST102。連続プリントであると判定した場合は、画像形成装置内部の湿度が基準湿度以上か否かを判定しST104、基準湿度以上の高湿環境であると判定した場合は、交流バイアスのピーク間電圧Vppを下げ、基準湿度以上の高湿環境でないと判定した場合は、交流バイアスの周波数fを下げることによりST106、現像バイアス電源の発熱を抑制しつつ、現像剤の現像特性を改善する。【選択図】図5 |
