PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microphthalmia-associated transcription factor inhibiting agent, a melanogenesis inhibiting agent, a cosmetic composition and an anticancer agent, which comprise an edible plant-derived component, exhibit microphthalmia-associated transcription factor inhibitory action and have more excellent melanogenesis inhibitory action than before.SOLUTION: Each agent contains an alicyclic compound represented by the formula (1A) or (1B).
