Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microphthalmia-associated transcription factor inhibiting agent, a melanogenesis inhibiting agent, a cosmetic composition and an anticancer agent, which comprise an edible plant-derived component, exhibit microphthalmia-associated transcription factor inhibitory action and have more excellent melanogenesis inhibitory action than before.SOLUTION: Each agent contains an alicyclic compound represented by the formula (1A) or (1B). In the formula (1A) or (1B), Rand Rare each independently a hydrocarbon group which may have a hydrogen, a hydroxyl group or a substituent, and in addition, one of the two adjacent chemical bonds shown by dotted lines is a double bond.
