Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display device for simultaneously observing a plurality of arbitrary places in detail on a single screen.SOLUTION: A map display device includes: a projection map data acquisition means which obtains projection map data on a specific point and its vicinity area magnified as compared with other areas based on map data without changing direction and distance on the specific point of the map; and a display means which displays a projection map based on the projection map data obtained by the projection map data acquisition means. 【課題】任意の複数地点を詳細に、しかも１画面上で同時に観察できる地図表示装置を提供すること。【解決手段】一例の地図表示装置は、地図のデータに基づき、この地図の特定地点についてその方角と距離を変えずに前記特定地点及びその近辺領域について他の領域よりも拡大した投影地図データを得る投影地図データ取得手段と、この手段により得た投影地図データに基づいて投影地図を表示する表示手段と、を有する。【選択図】図１
