PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector device which offers effectively prolonged product life.SOLUTION: A projector includes; laser light sources 103-105, each of which generates light of a different color; a control unit which controls intensity of the light generated by each laser light source 103-105; a display control unit 110 which projects images on a combiner 60 by guiding the light generated by the laser light sources 103-105 to the combiner 60; and a prediction unit which predicts a shortest living light source having the shortest operating life left of all the laser light sources 103-105.
