PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator and a refrigerator system capable of facilitating discrimination of a food item in a storage room.SOLUTION: A refrigerator comprises: communication means that can be connected to the Internet; and a camera 35-1 photographing a food item in a storage room. Image data photographed by the camera 35-1 is transmitted to a server connected to the Internet by the communication means, and the image data is visible from a display terminal connected to the server. An indoor panel light 34-1 emitting light to the interior of the storage room at a time of photographing by the camera 35-1 is provided in the storage room, and the camera 35-1 and the indoor panel light 34-1 are provided to be located closer to a front surface opening of the storage room. By doing so, the camera 35-1 photographs the interior of the storage room from a side irradiated with the indoor panel light 34-1, making it possible to photograph the food item in the storage room brightly and clearly. As a result, it is possible to facilitate discrimination of the food item in the storage room and to dispense with image processing for facilitating discrimination of the food item, so that the refrigerator can be put to practical use at low cost. 【課題】貯蔵庫内の食品の判別が容易に行える冷蔵庫及び冷蔵システムの提供。【解決手段】インターネットに接続可能な通信手段と、貯蔵庫内の食品を撮影するカメラ３５−１とを備え、カメラで撮影した画像データを通信手段によりインターネットに接続されたサーバに送信し、当該サーバに接続する表示端末から画像データを視認可能とした冷蔵庫であって、貯蔵庫にはカメラによる撮影時に貯蔵庫内を照射する庫内照明灯３４−１を設け、カメラと庫内照明灯とは貯蔵庫の前面開口側に位置するように設けてある。これによって、庫内照明灯で照射する側からカメラによって貯蔵庫内を撮影することになるので、貯蔵庫内の食品を明るく、かつ、鮮明に撮影することができる。よって、貯蔵庫内の食品の判別が容易になり、しかも、食品判別を容易にするための画像処理をする必要もなくなって安価に実用化することができる。【選択図】図７
