Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Al-Mn magnesium alloy having excellent mechanical strength, excellent heat resistance and a good balance of mechanical strength.SOLUTION: A magnesium alloy is prepared, the magnesium alloy comprising Al of 3.0 mass% or more and 7.0 mass% or less, Mn of 0.1 mass% or more and 0.6 mass% or less, Ca of 1.5 mass% or more and 2.5 mass% or less, Si of 0.2 mass% or more and 1.3 mass% or less, and Y of 0.4 mass% or more and 2.3 mass% or less, with the balance being Mg and inevitable impurities. 【課題】機械的強度に優れたAl−Mn系マグネシウム合金において、さらに耐熱性に優れるとともに機械的強度のバランスが優れた合金を得る。【解決手段】Alを3.0質量%以上7.0質量%以下、Mnを0.1質量%以上0.6質量%以下、Caを1.5質量%以上2.5質量%以下、Siを0.2質量%以上1.3質量%以下、Yを0.4質量%以上2.3質量%以下含有し、残余がMgと不可避不純物であるマグネシウム合金を調製する。【選択図】なし
