CONGESTION ALLEVIATION METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for alleviating congestion in a mobile communication network including a core network and a radio access network (RAN).SOLUTION: A mobile communication network comprises: a RAN including an access point; and a core network operated by a network operator. The mobile communication network comprises: a packet gateway (PGW) including a policy and charging execution function (PCEF) module; and a policy and charging rule function (PCRF) module separated from the PGW. A method of the mobile communication network comprises the steps of: detecting a congestion state in the RAN; providing, by the PCRF module, one or more congestion alleviation policies for the PCEF; receiving and storing, by the PCEF, the one or more congestion alleviation policies; and notifying, by the RAN, the PCEF of the congestion state. The method further includes a step in which the PCEF determines and executes congestion alleviation means on the basis of multiple congestion alleviation means, and thereby implements one or more congestion alleviation policies.
