Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of generation of fixation defects and large power consumption in a conventional fixation control device and a conventional image forming apparatus which comprise a plurality of heaters and a plurality of temperature detection means in different positions in the longitudinal direction and independently control the plurality of heaters on the basis of a plurality of temperature detection results.SOLUTION: A fixation control device of the present invention comprises: one or a plurality of heating means 6a to 6c which supply heat; fixation means 6 which is heated by the heat and thereby fixes an image on a printing medium; first temperature detection means 16 which is held by a holding member Br1 holding the fixation means 6 and detects the temperature of the fixation means 6 to output a first detection temperature; second temperature detection means 17 which detects the temperature of the holding member Br1 to output a second detection temperature; and heat control means 11 which controls the temperature of the fixation means 6 by changing control conditions in accordance with the second detection temperature and the heat generation of the heating means 6a. Thereby, the minimum requirement of heat for not causing fixation defects is provided preventing generation of fixation defects while reducing power consumption compared to that of a conventional fixation control device.
