Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for supporting gear design capable of calculating an abrasion loss by corresponding also to changing abrasion including a point at which a relative slip speed is zero.SOLUTION: The method for supporting gear design comprises: an abrasion loss calculation step for calculating an abrasion loss on a tooth surface; and an aging change shape error data correction step for calculating a shape error by successively adding the abrasion loss calculated by the abrasion loss calculation step to an initial shape error inputted by an initial shape error data input step. In the abrasion loss calculation step, a wear amount per one time in mesh is calculated by using a specific wear amount due to cutting and a weighting factor of the specific wear amount due to cutting which are inputted by a basic data input step, a specific wear amount due to adhesion, and a weighting factor of the specific wear amount due to adhesion.
