TURNING POSITIONING DEVICE OF ROTARY TOOL AND TURNING POSITIONING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning positioning device and a turning positioning method for a rotary tool of a low cost capable of easy positioning work for fixing the rotary tool at a position at an angle necessary for processing with respect to a work piece, in a machine tool.SOLUTION: A turning positioning device 1 for a rotary tool is provided to a machine tool equipped with a bite holder 111 for supporting, for free-turning, a rotary tool 105 which processes a work piece 2, to position the rotary tool 105 at a predetermined turning angle. It includes moving means for moving the rotary tool 105 to a position corresponding to a turning angle, an abutment part which moves and turns integrally with the rotary tool 105, and a stopper which abuts with the abutment part by turning of the rotary tool 105. By turning of the rotary tool 105 that has been moved by the moving means, the abutment part abuts with the stopper, and because turning of the rotary tool 105 is regulated, the rotary tool 105 is positioned.
