PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vacuum cleaner improved in holding properties of a dust collection part when throwing out dust and designed so as to throw out the dust without spilling the dust through a hose joint port.SOLUTION: An electric vacuum cleaner 1 includes an electric vacuum cleaner body 100 composed of a cylindrical dust collection part 110 open at its top part, a cleaner body part 120 detachably disposed on the top part of the dust collection part 110 via a mounting bracket 113, and a pedestal part 130 movably supporting the dust collection part 110 and the cleaner body part 120. The electric vacuum cleaner body 100 is provided with a plurality of handle parts 112, 134, and the plurality of handle parts 112, 134 are respectively disposed at positions different in height.
