Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve compaction while ensuring a sufficient slot area, and to reduce material usage without increasing the capacity of a drive power supply or the scale of a load testing device.SOLUTION: A motor 1 for evaluating the iron core characteristics includes a cylindrical stator 2, and a cylindrical rotor 3 arranged on the inner peripheral part of the stator 2 while spaced apart therefrom. It has such a structure that the stator 2 and the rotor 3 and cylindrical spacers 4a, 4b formed of a nonmagnetic material having a specific gravity of 0.6 times or less of that of a magnetic material forming the stator core 2a or a rotor core 3a are arranged in the axial direction. The thickness D of the stator 2 or rotor 3 in the axial direction is 1/20 or less of the internal diameter Rs of the stator 2 or the external diameter Rr of the rotor 3, and the thickness D of the stator 2 or rotor 3 in the axial direction is 1/4 or less of the thickness of the spacers 4a, 4b in the axial direction.
