Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize a plurality of functions, including a copy function, to the operation of an operation unit provided in an image reading device when the image reading device is connected.SOLUTION: When a scanner start button is operated in a state that communication connection with a scanner 50 is established (S100), a printer 20 acquires image data generated by reading a manuscript by a scanner (S110), and sets an execution mode from a plurality of operation modes including a copy mode and a transfer mode (S120-S140), to execute processing on the acquired image data in accordance with the set execution mode (S150-S210). This enables the actualization of the plurality of functions of the printer 20 to one start button 67 of the scanner 50.
