Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anode electrode catalyst for an alkaline fuel cell having very high hydrogen oxidation activity and high practicality regarding the anode electrode catalyst which is used for a fuel electrode (anode electrode) of the alkaline fuel cell (anion exchange membrane fuel cell) using hydrogen as fuel.SOLUTION: An anode electrode catalyst for an alkaline fuel cell is characterized in that a metal catalyst obtained by alloying chrome using nickel as base is carried on a carbon carrier. The chrome concentration in the metal catalyst of the anode electrode catalyst is preferable to be 5 to 30 wt%.
