Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vane having higher strength than the conventional vane.SOLUTION: A vane 1 for a vane pump is formed in a rectangular plate shape as a whole, with a hollow provided therein. The vane 1 includes: a pair of front and back sliding parts 1A and 1B having a flat-plate shape; three longitudinal ribs 1E arranged along the longitudinal direction of the sliding parts; and two connection ribs 1F that are respectively connected to the neighboring longitudinal ribs 1E. The pair of sliding parts 1A and 1B are integrally connected by the longitudinal ribs 1E and the connection ribs 1F arranged between the sliding parts. Each connection rib 1F is formed in a linear shape and is arranged so as to be inclined with respect to end surfaces as longitudinal end parts 1C and 1D of the vane 1. Because each connection rib 1F is arranged in the inclined manner with respect to the end surfaces as the end parts 1C and 1D, the vane 1 having higher strength can be formed compared to the conventional vane in which connection ribs are arranged vertically to longitudinal ribs.
