Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact state confirmation method capable of securing cleaning quality by confirming a contact state of a wiping member such as a wiping sheet and an ink jet head.SOLUTION: The contact state confirmation method comprises the steps of: forming step of forming a wet pattern formed of a liquid application area and non-liquid application area by applying liquid on a nozzle face of an ink jet head 120; transferring step of transferring the wet pattern to a wiping member by contacting the wiping member to the nozzle face on which the wet pattern is formed and wiping the nozzle face; and determining step of determining a contact state of the nozzle face and the wiping member by comparing the wet pattern and the pattern transferred on the wiping member.
