Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve performances of a catalyst for producing ethylene oxide, in particular, selectivity of the catalyst.SOLUTION: In a method for producing a supported catalyst for producing ethylene oxide by using ethylene as a raw material, which contains silver, cesium and rhenium as catalyst components, a combined operation comprising an impregnation treatment of silver into a carrier and a subsequent preliminary heat treatment performed within a temperature range exceeding 120°C and not higher than 500°C under an inert gas atmosphere is repeated in a plurality of times, and thereafter, a heating treatment is carried out within a temperature range of 190 to 450°C under an oxygen-containing atmosphere.
