PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a complicated operation in the following case: a user needs to prepare and submit a file other than data constituting a job, for a hot folder which issues an instruction to execute printing by submitting the file other than the data constituting the job.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus including a hot folder with print settings associated therewith includes: detection means fro detecting data input to the hot folder; grouping means for grouping one or multiple pieces of data input within a predetermined time after the detection means detects the data input; determination means for determining whether the grouped one or multiple pieces of data can be output as one job; and output means which outputs the grouped one or multiple pieces of data to an image forming apparatus, as one job based on the print settings, when the determination means determines that the data can be output as one job.
