PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source lighting device which includes a lighting control function and is capable of switching between standard output and high output, and in which a lighting control step is not narrowed.SOLUTION: A light source lighting device 100 comprises: a step-down chopper circuit 130 which is controlled to output a DC current corresponding to control to a light source as an output current; and a control section 140 including optical signal input terminals 181 and 182 for inputting lighting control signals, and a nonvolatile memory 1411 storing a plurality of lighting control tables each defining a corresponding relation between a lighting control rate and the output current of the step-down chopper circuit 130, selecting one lighting control table from among the plurality of lighting control tables stored in the nonvolatile memory 1411 on the basis of the lighting control signals inputted by the optical signal input terminals 181 and 182, and controlling the step-down chopper circuit 130 using the selected lighting control table.
