ELECTRONIC SHELF LABEL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic shelf label system that suppresses wasteful power consumption, and curbs battery consumption.SOLUTION: An electronic shelf label system comprises: an electronic shelf label that indicates commercial article information and is disposed in association with a commercial article; a server that stores association information between the commercial article information and the electronic shelf label; and a communication device that transmits an infrared-ray signal including the commercial article information to the association information. An electronic shelf label includes a detection part that detects a voltage of a capacitor, and a charge process part that performs charge of the capacitor on the basis of a voltage detected by the detection part. When the voltage of the capacitor of the electronic shelf label in an active mode capable of receiving the infrared-ray is lower than a predetermined threshold value, the charge of the capacitor is performed.
