Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform work of installing a linear object.SOLUTION: THe robot device 1, which performs work of installing a cable 100, comprises: a holding portion 12 for holding the cable 100 having one end fixed; an arm main body 11 that guides the other end of the cable 100 into a guide region R while the holding portion 12 is holding the cable 100; a force sensor 13 that is provided in the arm main body 11 and detects contact of the other end of the cable 100 with the holding portion 12; and an image processing portion 53 that when the contact of the other end of the cable 100 with the holding portion 12 is detected by the force sensor 13, detects posture of the other end of the cable 100 on the basis of a camera 30 for imaging the guide region R and an image taken by the camera 30, where work of installing the cable 100 is performed according to posture of a connector 101 detected by an image processing portion 53.
