Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve desulfurization performance of a desulfurizing agent in the presence of water or methanol.SOLUTION: A desulfurizing agent filled in a desulfurizer 50 contains a porous inorganic compound and a monovalent copper ion supported on the porous inorganic compound as a desulfurization catalyst component. Examples of the porous inorganic compound include zeolite, alumina and silica, and more specifically include, as the zeolite, an X-type zeolite having a molar ratio of SiO2/Al2O3 of 2.7 to 3, a Y-type zeolite having a molar ratio of SiO2/Al2O3 of 4.5 to 5, a -type zeolite having a molar ratio of SiO2/Al2O3 of 20 to 40.
