COMMON MODE CHOKE COIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common mode choke coil that can easily cope with a large-current specification and face-mounting to a circuit substrate, and whose height can be reduced.SOLUTION: The common mode choke coil comprises: a core 4 formed into a square shape; first and second core covers 2, 3 opposed to top and rear surface sides of the core 4 and covering an outer periphery; and a rectangular copper wire 8 wound around side parts of the core 4 of the first and second core covers 2, 3. The second core cover 3 is arranged on a mounting face side. In the first and second core covers 2, 3, a linear portion surrounding the opposed side parts of the core 4 serves as a winding part 5, and a pedestal part 6 projecting nearer the mounting face than the winding part 5 and extending in a direction orthogonal to an axial line of the winding part 5 is formed on a lower face of the second core cover 3. A pedestal face 6a on which the rectangular copper wire 8 pulled from the winding part 5 toward the mounting face is located as a mounting terminal 12, is formed on a lower face of a tip in an extension direction of the pedestal part 6. A tip of the rectangular copper wire 8 is bent upward at an edge of the tip from the pedestal face 6a.
