Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery capable of increasing the area of electrode plate to achieve high capacity while suppressing the occurrence of short-circuiting caused by an R shape at corners of a laminated outer package.SOLUTION: In an electrode body, each of positive electrode plate and negative electrode plate 102 has a rectangular shape in a plan view. A corner portion of the negative electrode plate 102 constitutes an oblique side Laslant relative to two sides L, Lcontinuous to the corner portion. A boundary line Lon an inside face surrounding an accommodation space of a laminated outer package 20 is such that the inner corner portion corresponding to the oblique side Lof the negative electrode plate 102 is formed by an R shape (radius of curvature R). The oblique side Lof the negative electrode plate 102 is stipulated of its shape and dimension so as to satisfy the relations G>Gand G>G. A separator is inserted in a narrow space between the corner portion of the electrode body corresponding to the oblique side Lof the negative electrode plate 102 and the inner corner portion of the laminated outer package 20.
