Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a secondary battery capable of achieving simplification of processes and improvement of yield in manufacturing a positive electrode containing sulfur, capable of achieving improvement of capacity density per electrode volume, and further capable of obtaining extremely stable charge/discharge characteristics; and a method for manufacturing the secondary battery.SOLUTION: A positive electrode 21 containing insoluble sulfur is manufactured by coating a slurry 13 containing insoluble sulfur and a conductive assistant on a conductive base substance 11 and then drying the slurry 13 to form an insoluble sulfur-containing layer 12. A secondary battery includes the positive electrode 21 manufactured in this way, a negative electrode and an electrolyte.
