Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detector constituted so that a light-receiving element has to be arranged overlapping, and using a reflection photosensor capable of performing accurate position detection of a moving object.SOLUTION: A light-receiving part of a light-receiving element 4 receiving light emitted from a light-emitting element 3 and reflected by a reflector 5 is divided into a plurality of regions in a movement direction of the moving object. A part of the light-receiving parts are arranged closer to the light-emitting element 3, and another light-receiving parts are arranged away from the light-emitting element 3 so as to overlap the other light-receiving parts.
