PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an existing pipe removal method capable of easily removing a part of the existing pipe covering a range of specified location irrespective of a shape of the existing pipe covering the existing a new installing pipe in the case that a coupling is connected to the specified location in the new installing pipe drawn into the existing pipe and set there.SOLUTION: At a peripheral cutting step in which an existing pipe 1 is cut by a peripheral cutting part 4 and the existing pipe 1 is separated at both sides of axial direction AX holding a connection expected part enclosing part 2 under application of the first cutting device 30 in which the first cutting blade 32 can move in a peripheral direction CR of the existing pipe 1, an outer periphery of the existing pipe 1 is enclosed by a guide member 20 that can be laid, the cutting blade 32 is moved around the existing pipe 1 under a state in which the first cutting device 30 is held at the existing pipe 1 through the guide member 20, the connection expected part enclosing part 2 is divided into two segments in the peripheral direction CR under a state that the part 2 is cut at two locations by an axis side cutting part 3 extending along the axial direction AX, the connection expected part enclosing part 2 is removed after an axial side cutting part 3 and a peripheral side cutting part 4 are crossed and cut.
