Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cogeneration device which is highly responsive to fluctuation in power demand or heat demand while improving energy conversion efficiency by using a thermoelectric conversion element.SOLUTION: A cogeneration device comprises: a main machine 1 which generates high temperature exhaust gas and electric power; a heat exchanger 2 which produces a high temperature heat medium through heat exchange between the high temperature exhaust gas and a heat medium; a thermoelectric conversion element 3 which has a high temperature section 31 and a low temperature section 32 and generates electric power with a temperature difference between the high temperature section and the low temperature section; a first gas passage 51 which guides a portion of the high temperature exhaust gas exhausted from the main machine 1 to the heat exchanger 2 and allows the high temperature section 31 of the thermoelectric conversion element 3 to increase a temperature thereof with the high temperature exhaust gas while the same is guided to the heat exchanger; a second gas passage 52 which guides a remaining portion of the high temperature exhaust gas to the heat exchanger 2 without guiding the same to the thermoelectric conversion element 3; a flow rate distribution adjustment device 53 which distributes flow rates of the high temperature exhaust gas between the first gas passage 51 and the second gas passage 52; and a control section 7 which controls the flow rate distribution adjustment device 53.
