Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous liquid for recording which is used for protection of an image and securing of fastness of prints in recording using an aqueous recording ink containing a color material, contains a slightly water-soluble near-infrared absorber but no color material and is fixed by near-infrared irradiation.SOLUTION: (1) An aqueous liquid for recording contains at least water and an aqueous organic solvent but no color material and additionally contains a near-infrared absorber having a maximum absorption wavelength in the range of 800-1,200 nm, and the near-infrared absorber is included in and/or adsorbed on fine resin particles and dispersed. (2) With the maximum absorbance of the near-infrared absorber in the range of 800-1,200 nm as Abs1 and the maximum absorbance in the range of 400-700 nm as Abs2, the ratio Abs2/Abs1 is 0.5 or lower.
