Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering machine for a motor-driven track-type vehicle and a driving method thereof, for realizing common use of a using motor, the output distribution of the motor suitable for required power and functional maintenance in failure, in the steering machine for the track-type vehicle having a main driving shaft and a balance shaft, and capable of regenerating the power.SOLUTION: The steering machine comprises three or more of the same motors 6a, 6b and 6c, and the respective ones can selectively drive the main driving shaft 1 or the balance shaft 2, and thereby, can not only supply the power substantially suitable for the main driving shaft 1 and the balance shaft 2, but also secure and maintain the function of an advance-retreat and on-the-spot turning by selectively executing the connection by intermittent mechanisms 7a1,7b1 and 7c1 for traveling and intermittent mechanisms 7a2, 7b2 and 7c2 for turning, when at least one motor is sound, even when a plurality cause the failure among the motors 6a, 6b and 6c.
