Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching regulator equipped with an overcurrent protection circuit that enables automatic return from an overcurrent state.SOLUTION: A switching regulator includes: a differential amplifier circuit that amplifies a difference between a feedback voltage, which is based on an output voltage, and a reference voltage and outputs the amplified difference; a PWM comparator that compares the output of the differential amplifier circuit and an output of a triangular wave oscillation circuit and controls an output transistor; an overcurrent detection circuit that detects a situation, in which a load current flowing to a load connected to an output terminal becomes an overcurrent, by monitoring the load current and outputs an overcurrent detection signal for stopping a switching operation; and a negative feedback control circuit that receives the overcurrent detection signal and controls the load current to assume a predetermined current value.
