PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly recognize the boundary between a communication frame and a redundancy bit and to perform excellent reception processing of a FEC frame, in a communication system capable of performing error correction processing of the communication frame using the redundancy bit.SOLUTION: A communication device 501 comprises: an error correction processing unit 14, if three or more boundary identification codes are detected in a FEC frame, for obtaining multiple sets of a communication frame and a redundancy bit from the FEC frame on the basis of multiple kinds of combinations of two boundary identification codes among the three or more boundary identification codes, and for performing error correction processing of the obtained corresponding communication frame using each obtained redundancy bit; and a frame selection unit 15 for performing error detection of a communication frame by use of error detection data included in each communication frame to which error correction processing was performed, and for selecting a communication frame from the respective communication frames on the basis of error detection results.
