Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum electrolytic capacitor with higher mechanical connection strength by a rivet connection as a joint of a lead tab and an external terminal and with capacity to reduce connection resistance even when a size of the external terminal is small or in need of heavier current.SOLUTION: An aluminum electrolytic capacitor of the invention is composed of an extraction lead tab extracted from an electrode foil to be connected to an external terminal, a presser plate which presses the lead tab onto the external terminal with a hole part made each on the extraction lead tab and the presser plate fitted into a projection on the end of the external terminal and the projection being caulked and jointed. The aluminum electrolytic capacitor includes a recess made on the opposite side of a pressing surface of the presser plate and a connection part which is made between the recess, the extraction lead tab and the external terminal.
