STEERING ANGLE SENSOR AND ELECTRIC POWER STEERING DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering angle sensor in which generation of a detection error can be suppressed.SOLUTION: The inner peripheral surface of a body part 24A and the outer peripheral surface of a steering shaft 6 are separated in a radial direction by t1, and an O-ring 23 is interposed between both surfaces so as to be compressively deformable. This enables displacement of the steering shaft 6 caused by the tilting thereof to be absorbed by the compressive deformation of the O-ring 23 even when the steering shaft 6 is tilted by steering operation of a steering wheel 1 for example, and enables generation of a detection error due to the tilting of a first gear 24 generated by following the tilting of the steering shaft 6 to be suppressed.
