Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device which includes a mobile belt capable of supporting a recording medium and a delivery part delivering the recording medium to the mobile belt, and suppresses excessive loads on a delivery motor driving the delivery part.SOLUTION: A recording device includes: a transport mechanism 3 capable of intermittently moving a mobile belt 10 capable of supporting a recording medium P; a delivery part 2 for delivering the recording medium P to the mobile belt 10 in a state that the recording medium P is strained by receiving tension force from the recording medium P accompanying intermittent movement of the mobile belt 10; and a recording mechanism 4 for performing a recording by reciprocating a recording head 7 in a direction B intersecting with a transporting direction A of the recording medium P. A first load reducing mode, in which a delivery motor 28 is driven so that the recording medium P is delivered to the mobile belt 10 in synchronization with the intermittent movement of the mobile belt 10, is performed when a load sensor 36 detects loads more than a predetermined threshold T1.
